Heavenly Flight of Angels
(Gossard, James) 2003 introduction
(Flutterbye x Wildest Dreams)
Diploid 39" Semi EV M 7" Flower
Awarded Honorable Mention in 2007 by the AHS
Spider Variant 4.0:1 Ratio 7"x 6" x 1 " 10 wingspan. Bud Count 15. Flight of angels is an exceptionally unique daylily. It is my Favorite diploid introduction to date. Blooms are open for 2 days, on the first day blooms are yellow, but look out, transformation occurs throughout the night yielding gorgeous yellow flowers with white edges. The edge becomes even more pronounced throughout the day. It is as pretty at 1:30 pm than in the morning, unaffected by the hot days of summer. Heavenly Flight of Angels is an important parent for bringing edges into all colors since both parents are from lavender and pink breeding, which bridges Childs and Temples genetics.
