Love's Unfolding Dream (Seifert, 2025)
height 35 inches (89 cm), bloom 6.5 inches (16 cm), season M, Semi-Evergreen, Diploid, 33 buds, 4 branches, Sculpted Pleated, Bright rose pink with wide, light green throat extending onto sepals, and lightly pleated petals with corduroy texture.. (Search for Green Pastures × Ida Mae Norris)
This beauty is from 2 wonderful northern plants. It has great habit and grows like a dream! I was drawn to it because of the color and great garden performance before I noticed the pleated texture. It's fertile both ways but the jury's still out on whether it will pass on the pleats.
Lovely Addition (Culver-B., 2016)
height 35 in.(89 cm), bloom 6 in.(15 cm), season MLa, Semi-Evergreen, Tetraploid, 22 buds, 3 branches, Ruffled bright clear rose pink with a large white watermark above a large deep green throat. (Irish Rover × Elizabeth White)
MAGNIFICENT BLUE PRINCE - SEIFERT 2022, Tet, 30", 5.75", M, Sev, 4 br, 23 bc.
This puts on a mid season show every year. Since it has a pretty blue eye, it reminded me of something else we have around here: our big blue boy. He's our gentle hero, keeping us safe from the mailman, Amazon drivers and a multitude of squirrels, not to mention a small yapping annoyance he's had to endure this year.
Fertile both ways.
(Blue Voodoo X (Truly Angelic x Dream of You)) Description: Red violet with periwinkle blue eyezone and small vivid green throat.

Parentage:(Good Golly x Power of Prayer).
A knockout right from the start, it has kept the wow factor over the last few summers. Very fertile and I'm anxious to see results!
Mermaid's Lair (Story, 2016)
height 37 in.(94 cm), bloom 5.5 in.(14 cm), season MLa, Rebloom, Semi-Evergreen, Tetraploid, Fragrant, 24 buds, 4 branches, Clear light lavender petals, near sky blue halo eyezone surrounded by blue lavender pencil edge` chartreuse throat blends into blue eye, small triple picotee edge on petals. ((Enchanting Esmerelda × Joshua Slocum) × Texas Blue Eyes)
Hybridizer's notes:
This is one of the parents which is redefining my blue-eyed tet program. It is the pod parent of the future TEXAS BLUE EYES squared seedlings, and a half-sib to last year's BLUE PLANET. The plant habit is the best I have seen in blue-eyed daylilies ,with beautifully spaced branching and high bud counts. Along with that clear cerulean blue eyezone that looks just like the picture, MERMAID'S LAIR makes a gorgeous clump! As a parent, this daylily passes on her clear blue eyezone, and the wonderful plant habits to her kids. I have yet to bloom a seedling from MERMAID'S LAIR which did not have a blue eye. A necessary hybridizer's dream to achieve that elusive blue!
Mimosas in the Morning (Gossard, 2025)
height 34 inches (86 cm), bloom 6.5 inches (16 cm), season M, Rebloom, Semi-Evergreen, Tetraploid, Fragrant, 22 buds, 4 branches, Rose pink with coral and lighter pink watermark, green applique and green throat. (Spacecoast Ocean Sunrise × Cool Crystals)

Miss Piggy's Feather Boa (Seifert 2015) Dip, 30", 5", ML, 3 br/18 bc, Dor, 100% double. (Double Joanna X Peggy Jeffcoat) Pink with wide chartreuse throat and red banded eye.
From the first time this one bloomed, it looked like it had too many feathery petals. Since it's fat, pink and feathery, the name seemed fitting. Hardy Kropf genetics make it a sure bet for the northern garden.
LOOKS LIKE I FORGOT TO ADD THIS IS A REBLOOMER. IT SENT UP 4 SETS OF SCAPES IN 2016!
Miss Vera Carp (Pritchard-P., 2013)
height 32 in.(81 cm), bloom 4.5 in.(11 cm), season EM, Dormant, Diploid, Fragrant, 19 buds, 3 branches, Fuchsia petals and cream sepals with silver blend eyezone over a yellow to green throat. ((George Jets On × Cats Cradle) × Blue Flirt)

Standing tall above the others around it was my first clue it was special, and the scape was magnificent. It made me think of a conquering hero and the name comes from Romans 8: 37 "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."
It has continued to perform well and is fertile both ways.
MR KNIFE GUY - Seifert 2020, Tet, 32" hgt, 7" bloom, Mre, Sev, 4 br / 25 bc (Northwood Rusty Gold x Pit Bull Princess)
Dark red with green throat, gold teeth and lighter red watermark.
Pit Bull Princess has been an excellent parent! This beauty is hardy, grows well and is a beautiful bloom. Not Mr. Nice Guy showing its teeth!
MY TWO FRONT TEEF - SEIFERT 2023, Tet, 29", 5.75", ML, Dor, 5 br/ 30 bc. (Forestlake Becky X Deadliest Catch)
This brightly colored pretty face is a welcome sight in the later garden when everything is winding down for the season. That's why it caught my attention, and the bud count makes for a long bloom time.
I wanted to give it a teeth name but the one I wanted was taken - All I Want For Christmas (is My Two Front Teeth.) It's not missing its teeth, however! It's hardy and a hard dormant out of northern genetics.
LIMITED

Reblooms here.
NORTHWOOD BEARDED WONDER Seifert 2019 - Diploid, Sev, 32", 4.75", Mre, 2 br/15 bc (Lavender Blue Baby x Fancy Face)
Light yellow with mahogany eye ring that extends to sepals and barbed appendages around the chartreuse throat.
From the first blooms, this one showed the barbed appendages. We had planted 200 seeds of this cross, after I gave 100 to 2 friends. Doug, who is the seed and seedling planter, asked why we needed SO many of this cross!
I didn't know but thought we needed to plant all these. This was the only one that had this type of petal. It is pollen fertile, and I'm not sure about pod fertility. Michael's Sword was the only one I wanted to use with it, but MS has no pollen.
NORTHWOOD BLEACHED BLONDE - Seifert 2020, Dip, 41" hgt, 5" bloom, Mre, Sev, 2 br/ 15 bc. (Pigment of Imagination x Foar Bizar)
Red violet which changes to light peach with purple edge by evening.
This color changer has some of the best of its parents, It's taller for one thing, has the good substance of POI and reblooms like Foar Bizar. There was no struggle or holding my breath to set pods or use the pollen; it's easily fertile both ways. The future of color changers is looking better all the tome!
NORTHWOOD BLUTOPIA Seifert 2019 - Diploid, 44", 7", ML, Dor, 6 br/ 40 bc (North Wind Dancer x Stargate Portal)
Light purple with lavender blue eyezone, deep green throat and cream white extending out onto the sepals.
Pretty from the first eye catching blooms, it went immediately in an observation bed! The performance has been stellar with high fertility both ways.
One of my best performers ever.
NORTHWOOD CAKE POP - SEIFERT 2022, Dip, 28", 6", Mre, Dor, Fragrant, 3 br, 23 bc.
This sweet confection needed a sweet name. It is fragrant, always streaked and fertile both ways. Good grower here too.
(Storm Surf x Pink Stripes) Description: Rose pink and cream streaked petals and sepals with yellow throat.
Northwood Cherish the Moment (Seifert, 2023) Tet, 30", 6", Dor, M, Re, 5 br/ 32 bc ((Truly Angelic X Dream of You) X All Things to All Men)
Violet with small amethyst band, vivid green throat, and thin white ruffled edge. Very fertile both ways.
AT2AM is such a good parent producing lots of great kids. This one has the habit, the performance and the parent potential as well.
A garden visitor picked it out this past summer as a winner that should be registered.
NORTHWOOD DOT COM - Seifert 2020, Dip, 33" hgt, 5" bloom, Mre, Sev, 3 br / 20 bc. (Greywoods Dottie Do Little X Fizziwig)
Cream with dark red splashed stipples and stippled red eye, cream edges and yellow throat.
This one has a lot going for it with better height than a lot of stipples, great fertility and rebloom. It's not just another pretty freckled face in my estimation!
(Seifert, 2018)
height 36 in.(91 cm), bloom 7.5 in.(19 cm), season EM, Rebloom, Semi-Evergreen, Diploid, 25 buds, 4 branches, Rose red with magenta band surrounding wide green throat and cream white edges with streaked sepals.. (Dragon Seeker × Arno`s Bow Tie)
This one is a strong grower. It reblooms, and always puts on a show. Pod stubborn, but pollen is good. I hope to see some good results showing the streaked sepals and green throat in the kids. This was named for the "Draggin" Wagon" my brother made for us kids, and i thought it flew like the wind, being about 6 years old! I could never figure out why he named it after a dragon until I was older and saw the wordplay.
I'M GETTING GOOD KIDS FROM NWDW!
(Emerald Starburst x Green Rainbow) Description: Cherry red with wide, triangular, vivid green throat extending onto sepals, bud builder with long bloom season.
This one attracted attention I think, because of its cheerful happy radiating colors. It's just a great performer and grower with no fuss over it. It's a long blooming variety that is an apparent bud builder with lots of scapes.
Fertile both ways.
(Seifert, 2018)
height 35 in.(88 cm), bloom 5.5 in.(13 cm), season M, Dormant, Diploid, 25 buds, 3 branches, Sandtone pink with darker rusty rose band and very wide, pleated green throat.. (Ida Mae Norris × Arno`s Bow Tie)
What else could be expected from these two northern parents but a great kid? I like the height of this one, being taller than both parents. It's fertile, and definitely catches the eye when you walk by! One of my favorites this year.
NORTHWOOD FADED BLUE GENES - Seifert 2019, Tetraploid, 29", 5", MLre, Dor, 4 BR/25 BC, (Truly Angelic x Guided by Voices)
Rose violet with lavender blue eyezone, cream ruffled edge and and pale lavender sepals. This is a bitone - I missed that in the description.
We had several seedlings blooming from this cross with good plant habit but this was the most exciting. The plant habit is great and it's extremely fertile both ways.
THIS IS A GREAT PARENT PLANT!
NORTHWOOD FUDGESICLE - Seifert 2019 Diploid, 34", 4.5", EM, Sev, 3 BR/22 BC (Old Termite x Patchy Fog)
Soft chocolate brown with light pink midribs, small green throat outlined in cranberry.
Who doesn't love chocolate? This soft chocolate bloom caught my eye out of many from the same cross. The performance has been good and I just spent time enjoying it this summer. I don't know about seedling results because there was nothing else like it here to cross with it. It does produce pollen and made bee pods.
(Seifert, 2018)
height 32 in.(81 cm), bloom 4.5 in.(11 cm), season EM, Rebloom, Semi-Evergreen, Diploid, 15 buds, 3 branches, Rose pink with wide pleated green throat radiating out to chartreuse, surrounded by a lavender halo punctuated by maroon pencil band.. (Green Treat × Cosmic Kaleidoscope)
An eye-catcher from the start and very fertile, it is also a strong rebloomer. This year even with pods, it rebloomed 4 times.
It's offspring are promising.
Named for our new green-eyed brat, BLUE, who was a tiny 7.5 lb. lb puppy at 6 weeks and at 6 months here, a solid 65 lbs.
Northwood Nail Biter - Seifert 2011, Tet, dor, 30", 5.5", M, 4 br/30 bc, Pink and yellow blend with green throat and yellow toothy edge.
Not dependent on weather, NW Nail Biter always has teeth. It is also a good parent for teeth. It's a little reluctant to set pods but is very pollen fertile. Very cold hardy here.
SEIFERT 2016 - Tet, 34", 6", Mre, Sev. 4 branches and 28 bud count. (Northern Dawn X Red Friday) Rose pink with yellow throat and yellow gold teeth. Northwood Naughty or Nice is so named because when it's nice, it has ruffled edges. Most of the time it's naughty showing its teeth. A stellar performer with never fail rebloom. Fertile both ways.
NORTHWOOD RAGGEDY MANDY - Seifert 2020, Tet, 42" hgt, 7.5" bloom, Late, Dormant, 2 br / 15 bc (Raggedy Man X Pit Bull Princess)
Coral pink with pale peach watermark blending into yellow green throat, snaggle tooth edge with sepals outlined in cream.
A child of Raggedy man but with prettier color, better height and the luscious watermark stamped on her by Pit Bull Princess. Cold hardy, and late! Fertile both ways.
(Seifert, 2018)
height 28 in.(71 cm), bloom 6 in.(15 cm), season EM, Rebloom, Semi-Evergreen, Tetraploid, 16 buds, 3 branches, Stippled and splotched brick red with heavy gold edge and small green throat.. (Something Marvelous × Red Friday)
Starts out with muted color but as the season progresses, splotches and stippling become bolder in color, showing more contrast. It actually took me a couple of years to really see what was happening as the plant matured. It is a rebloomer and quite fertile, setting pods while reblooming.
NORTHWOOD STAR SAPPHIRE - Seifert 2019, Diploid, 28", 3", EMre, Sev, 4 BR/23 BC (sdlg x In the Navy)
Cream with bright lavender blue bursting eyezone outlined in raspberry, and small deep green throat.
Larger than a technical mini,Northwood Star Sapphire has good plant habit and is very fertile both ways. It gives much better performance than some of the other smaller blue eyed cultivars which often struggle here. That made me realize that it, being northern hardy, made it deserve registration.
NORTHWOOD TIE DYE ARTIST - Seifert 2019 Diploid, 32", 5", EM, Dor, 3 BR/12 BC, (Lavender Kaleidoscope x Believing in Design)
Rosy violet with lavender blue eyezone, green throat radiating veined bronze, and cream pink edge with cream sepals streaked with purple.
This one is hard to describe. Some years it has been darker but always interesting and eye catching. Names failed me until I thought of how the carefully controlled design reminded me of tie-dye which I love! (I'm still a hippie at heart.) Fertile both ways, and I expect some interesting kids from this.
This is a bitone - I missed that in the description.
Northwood Zack Attack - Seifert 2023, Tet, 34", 7", ML, Dor, 4 BR / 27 BC, fertile both ways. (Tramps Like Us X Respect)
Rose red bitone with wide yellow eye zone, small green throat, and yellow hooked teeth on all edges.
What's not to love with this one? Good habit, lots of beautiful blooms, and crazy fertile both ways. Named for my youngest grandson, whose energy mentally and physically leaves us feeling that we've had a Zack attack!
